Located in the Cote d’Or department in Burgundy, Beaune is at the heart of an area synonymous with fabulous wine and food where some of the finest restaurants and vineyards are found and is very popular for wine tasting excursions. The surrounding villages are popular with French buyers especially Meursault with its legendary wine medieval church and pretty Romanesque houses. In Beaune itself there is an attractive old quarter in which you will see the famous Hospice de Beaune- something between a church and cathedral with a very colourful façade.
