Situated in the north-west of Aquitaine in the Gironde department, Bordeaux is famous for its centuries old wine production. It is a wealthy city and has been since Roman times and is currently undergoing some urban regeneration. The finest properties are within the 18th century city centre made of limestone with iron balconies but outside of this it becomes like many urban cities.
