Les Gets is located in the Haute-Savoie department of the French Alps between Morzine and Samoens. It is at an altitude of 1172m and is part of the Portes du Soleil ski zone with 650km of slopes, the largest ski area in France. Les Gets is a traditional alpine village with year round activity and has plenty of attractions including plenty of bars restaurants and a nightclub but also an ice skating rink. The skiing in the Portes du Soleil is very varied with slopes for all levels of skier and in the summer is a great place to go mountain-biking or play golf on its 18 hole course.

Property in Les Gets is very good value and less expensive than its neighbours such as Morzine and Les Gets although more expensive than Samoens (the latter lies outside of the Portes du Soleil ski zone).
