Megeve is situated in the Haute-Savoie department of the Rhone-Alpes region. It is known to be one of the most prestigious and oldest ski resorts in Europe and still attracts a jet set clientele today. It is a traditional year round alpine village based around a 13th century settlement and oozes with charm. Its cobbled streets, character properties, warm atmosphere and real French living is quite a contrast to the purpose built resorts that France has now become quite famous for. Megeve links up with the other smaller satellite alpine villages of St Gervais, Combloux and St Nicolas de Veroce and has a total of 445km of slopes- 34 blacks, 82 reds, 65 blues and 38 greens. Megeve is also a popular summer destination renowned for its good choice of golf courses.

Access is easy via Geneva or Grenoble international airports with regular bus transfers.
