Located in the Savoie department, considered to offer some of the best skiing in the Alps, Val d’Isere has a good amount of snow and is fantastic for après ski with bars, restaurants and clubs lining the main road that runs through the heart of the town. It is, however, a rather unattractive resort with many concrete apartment blocks and few summer facilities which make this really just a winter attraction.

The rental market here is very strong as it is very popular with foreign tourists, especially the British and they are not afraid to pay the large sums it costs to rent an apartment here during the ski season.
