This is a truly diverse department in terms of its rich landscape of hills and valleys but also of outdoor activities to pursue and interesting places to visit such as its museums, vineyards and pretty market towns like Tournon. Outdoor activities in the area include kayaking and canoeing, quad-biking, mountain-biking, hot air ballooning and rambling amongst others.
In the north of the department it is very green and the climate is milder than the south where most of the tourists are attracted due its hot temperatures and numerous leisure activities. In the heart of the department is the department’s capital of Privas and further south sit many quaint, traditional villages awaiting exploration.
