Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
Located in Alpes-Maritmes department and Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is made up of two distinct parts, the old village of Roquebrune set high above the Mediterranean and the modern town built around the luxurious peninsula of Cap Martin. Roquebrune village is situated on the Grande Corniche with panoramic views of Monaco to the west and Menton and Italy to the east. The village is dominated by a tenth century castle that is one of the oldest in France. The streets are full of colour with hundreds of window boxes and flowers outside every house.Many celebrities live here because of its proximity to Monaco and it’s a challenge to see most of the villas behind their imposing gates and walls. Like neighbouring Menton, the beaches here are excellent and never too crowded, even in summer.
