Cannes
Located in the Alpes-Maritimes department, right on the beach, Cannes is an excellent place to invest, buy your holiday home or live. Luxurious hotels, restaurants and bars are all around and the apartments and villas are tastefully done. Not as exclusive as St Tropez but highly fashionable, Cannes is very popular with foreign buyers many of whom have seen a fantastic return on their investment over the years. Unlike many French Riviera resorts, property in Cannes can bring in an all year round rental and is especially lucrative during the Cannes film festival. Like the bulk of the French Riviera the climate is good but can suffer from over-crowding during the peak months of July and August.

Property for sale in Cannes is very expensive so for cheaper property you will have to venture further inland. Apartments and villas that are more value for money can be found at the nearby resort of Juan-les-pins which like Cannes is also on the coast and has lots of local amenities and brings in a great summer rental income.
