Located in the Bouches du Rhone department in the Provence region, Aix en Provence is a beautiful young and vibrant town with pleasing architecture and a warm friendly atmosphere. The old town is with its narrow streets and small tucked away restaurants and Provencal shops and fashion boutiques is extremely charming and the perfect place to relax and people watch, while the main tree-lined street is filled with more shops, cafes and restaurants and grand water fountains. Excellent transport links and proximity to Marseille and other cultural Roman towns such as Avignon, Arles and Saint Remy-de-Provence.
