Nimes is the capital of the Gard department and well located near Avignon, Montpellier and the coast on the border between Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon. It is famous for its spectacular Roman remains to include an aqueduct and a working amphitheatre used as a bull ring. Having a great climate and surrounded by vineyards and rural towns in the Rhone valley, Nimes has a lot to offer and hence is very popular with tourists and international property buyers alike.
