Le Lavandou is a very sought after seaside resort in the Var department at the foot of the Massif des Maures. It has over 12km of sandy beach with small wild inlets and offers a wide variety of water sports and beautiful scenery. Le Lavandou used to be a small fishing port facing the Iles d’Or (Golden Islands) but today is now a major international marina and sport fishing port but also a great spot for many divers to examine its colourful marine life. There are also tennis courts here and numerous golf courses in the area whilst its casino, bars, restaurants and cafes offer plenty of venues to relax and have fun around its port and beaches. In addition this seaside town has many parades and festivals throughout the year giving it a lively and convivial atmosphere especially suited to both families and couples.
