Located in the Indre et Loire department, Tours is a very popular tourist and university town and a UNESCO world heritage area- the surrounding Tourraine department is often referred to as the “garden of France” as it produces so much fruit, wine and flowers. The Renaissance and neo-classic architecture forms creates a beautiful town and is surrounded by many vineyards and some Druid remains and is a hotspot for impressive chateaux, some of which could provide fantastic renovation projects.

The long term rental market is good. Prices of property for sale in Tours are slightly more expensive than the rest of the region due to the high demand put on the market - mainly by the French who move here. Budget airlines flying into Tours also make it an area growing in popularity with the British but can still be classed as rural and quiet.
