La Londe Les Maures is situated in the Var department opposite the Or islands near Hyeres and about a 35 minute drive from St Tropez. The Provencal village is located on the coast set against an impressive backdrop of the Maures Mountains nestling in an area which is two thirds vineyards and forest- a truly peaceful and beautiful location. Despite being on the Cote d’Azur and so close to St Tropez the area has kept much of its natural charm with gentle rolling hills that fall onto the sandy beaches.The area has excellent land and sea nature trails with latter accessible with only a requirement to be able to snorkel. There are plenty of guided tours available of the Olive groves, vineyards and its numerous places of historical & cultural interest. In addition you will find La Londe Les Maures has a good selection of bars, restaurants, shops and cafes and its weekly market will keep you stocked with fresh local produce while its festivals will keep you entertained. Other activities available include tennis, golf, mountain biking, walking, hiking, diving, kayaking and fishing. The village also has an excellent harbour with no less than 1140 places on the Quayside and 200 transit births. It is one of the largest ports of its kind in the Var department and is therefore a perfect location to keep your own boat or to take the commercial boast on excursions to the surrounding islands.
