Serre Chevalier is located in the Hautes-Alpes department and is one of the biggest ski domains of the Southern Alps with 250km of slopes reaching altitudes of 2,760m, up to 2,150m of which is tree-lined. The resort boasts 300 days of sunshine a year and is next to the “Parc National des Ecrins” and offers excellent winter and summer activities. These summer activities include kayaking, walking, cycling, mountain biking, sledding, climbing, rock climbing and paragliding.

The other ski resorts in the domain include Briancon, Le Monêtier-les-Bains, Chantemerle and Villeneuve. Access is relatively straight forward via Grenoble and Turin international airports just 1h30 by car. Briancon also has a mainline train station.

Property prices in the area are among the most expensive for the Southern Alps although not as expensive as some of the major ski resorts. The price per m2 is roughly 5,000 Euros so a 2 bed apartment will cost around 300,000 Euros.
