Valras-Plage is a classic French Mediterranean resort in the Hérault department and the Languedoc Roussillon region, in southern France. The resort is situated about 15 miles (20 KM) south west of Cap d'Agde. It enjoys some of the best weather in France with plenty of clear, dry days. During July and August, temperatures along the coast average around 28°C (82°F), dropping to 11°C (32°F) in February. The beach offers 4 kilometres of fine clean sand with patrolled bathing areas during the season as well as beach activities such as volleyball, swings and zip-wire to entertain children. To ensure cleanliness dogs are not allowed on the beach. This charming seaside resort boasts wonderful fish markets, traditional restaurants and an open air theatre.
